Kirk vs. Picard

Ah yes, a debate for the ages. I have a different perspective, however (shocking, I know). I don't think you should compare the two.

They are very different personalities for very different shows. Each is great in their own world. Kirk the swashbuckling explorer always ready to fist fight the aliens and seduce the space bimbos. Picard the cerebral leader concerned with feelings.

I loved the mysteries of Q, I think that storyline should have been explored more. The implications of Q are huge, a being not bound by our understood physical laws. And what about the Borg?

Wow, remember the first time they damaged the Borg ship and it repaired itself? Very cool.

I loved the Star Trek movies, all of them, even the first one. Wrath of Khan is an underappreciated work of art.

Deep Space Nine was pretty good.

Ok, they got a little over the top on moral preening at times. Whatever. And the new series are unwatchable. I just want to be entertained, I don't want to be lectured to.
